And finally, after many days of deliberation and date checking, here it is..

My Top Five-ish of '05 (So it's not 5! Sue me!)

Albums:

M.I.A.- Arular: There's a reason it's on everyone's lists, it's that good.
Eels- Blinking Lights and Other Revelations: I love my man E. He never disappoints. Heart breaking at times and always rocking.
Louis XIV- The Best Little Secrets Are Kept: Raunchy, ribald glam rock at its best.
Beck- Guero: His best album to date.
Gorillaz- Demon Days: Even my kids-- yes, both of them!-- love this album and requested it many times.
Sigur Ros- Takk...: The only word I can think of to describe this album is ethereal.
Queens of the Stone Age- Lullabies to Paralyze: Just so you know, Josh Homme is my future ex-husband..
50 Foot Wave- Golden Ocean: Kristen Hersh can do no wrong.
...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead- Worlds Apart: It's still as fresh as the day I first listened to it.
Metric- Live It Out: Everyone needs a little Canadian Techno Pop in their lives.

Songs:

The Killers- "Mr. Brightside": It never fails, whenever I'm in the car this song will play and I will sing it very loudly much to the chagrine of everyone else in the car.
Beck- "Girl": I <3 this song. And the video rocks almost as much as his "Hell Yes" video.
Queens of the Stone Age- "Little Sister": More cowbell!
Gorillaz- "O Green World": You thought I was going to say "Feel Good, Inc." didn't you?
Louis XIV- "Illegal Tender": It's a catchy little song. I can never resist singing along.

At least I stuck to five there.. Barely managed it. And now, of course, I'll try very hard to leave these lists alone and publish them already!
